Leslie discovered the joy of teaching mindful, intuitive art in 2023 when she began teaching courses in Nature Journaling and Poetry at the Senior Centers in West Hartford, CT. She loves her students, and marvels at their amazing and beautiful creations and growth. She continues to teach at Senior Centers in West Hartford and New Britain, and beyond and is always expanding her offerings!

Leslie is a self taught artist and poet deeply rooted in her connection with the Earth. Her work arises out of a fusion from her experiences with meditative and contemplative practice and as an Art + Architecture Librarian and outdoor educator. She has decided to dedicate herself to bringing joy to others through arts and nature connection experiences. She has pursued education through various classes from such diverse institutions as Cornell University’s Civic Ecology Lab and Yale’s Peabody Museum program in natural science illustration. She is also a Certified Master Gardener in Connecticut.

Leslie has self-published two books of poetry, had her artwork and poetry featured in Artemis Journal and several different contests and exhibits from Connecticut to Maine.
